Why it’s worth it

Many customers look up a business online before they call. Short videos show how you work and who you are. And if you are looking for new staff, you show what it’s like to work with you along the way.

Twelve ideas to get started

  1. Before and after: the same angle before and after the work. The classic, because it is instantly clear.
  2. One move in slow motion: laying a tile, welding a seam, sanding an edge.
  3. “Question of the week”: the most common one, answered briefly to camera.
  4. A tool explained: What is it, what do you need it for?
  5. Mistakes you often see: and how to avoid them – without showing up any customers.
  6. A day at work: five short scenes from morning to closing time.
  7. Meet the team: one person, one sentence about what they enjoy doing.
  8. An apprentice’s view: What surprised you? Good for finding new apprentices (Azubis).
  9. Materials compared: two options side by side, pros and cons.
  10. Care tip: How does the new parquet floor last longer?
  11. Job site countdown: day 1, day 3, done.
  12. Thank you to your customers: the finished project, with the customers’ consent.

Three rules for filming

How often should you post?

Regular beats a lot. One video a week that you can keep up brings more than five in one week followed by silence. Set yourself a fixed time, for example Friday lunchtime.

How Fipsta helps

In Fipsta, type or say one sentence, for example “New bathroom in an old flat, three weeks of work”. Fipsta turns it into a shot plan with scenes and text, you record with the teleprompter, and music is included. You can blur faces and number plates right in the app.
