A business video in 5 minutes: shot plan and teleprompter
No film crew, no hour of editing. With a plan and a teleprompter, you quickly get a video that sounds like you.
Why a plan saves time
Most of the time isn’t lost while filming, but while searching: What do I show? What do I say? Which shot fits? With a short shot plan you know beforehand which scenes you need – and you are done faster.
Step 1: Your idea in one sentence
Write down what it’s about, for example: “Our new lunch menu, a different dish every day, from 11:30.” Put in the name, the place and what’s special – that keeps the video concrete.
Step 2: Three to five scenes
A simple shot plan could look like this:
- Opening: the finished dish in close-up.
- The kitchen in action.
- You, talking to the camera: one sentence about what’s on today.
- The table with guests (only with their consent).
- Ending: address and opening time.
Step 3: Speaking with a teleprompter
Many people find it hard to speak freely. A teleprompter shows your text right next to the camera: you read it and still look into the lens. Tip: use short sentences – two takes are better than one long monologue.
Step 4: Music and subtitles
Music sets the mood, but it should be quieter while you speak. Make sure you are allowed to use the music (more on this in the article Which music can I use in my business video?). Subtitles help everyone who watches without sound.
Step 5: Caption, hashtags, publish
A short caption with a clear call to action (“Today from 11:30 – we look forward to seeing you”) and a few matching hashtags. Then upload – and watch it yourself once before you share it.
Stay realistic
You can do it in five minutes once your idea and shots are clear. The first time usually takes a little longer. You get faster with every video.
How it works with Fipsta
Fipsta takes you through exactly these steps: type or dictate your idea, get a shot plan, record with the teleprompter, music included. At the end, the assistant suggests captions and hashtags for Instagram, TikTok and YouTube. Fipsta never publishes automatically – you decide.
